Audi Spark Plug Replacement Dubai

Rough idling, a flashing engine light or a sudden loss of pull under boost usually starts in one place — the ignition system. Audi Repair Dubai is an independent Audi-only garage offering precise, correctly torqued Audi spark plug replacement Dubai owners can rely on, with free pickup and drop-off anywhere in the city and dealer-level workmanship at a far fairer price.

We work on TFSI, FSI and supercharged Audi engines every single day — from the 1.4 TFSI in an A1 to the 2.5 five-cylinder in an RS 3 and the 4.0 V8 in an RS 6. That focus is why we get the heat range, the gap, the torque and the coil diagnosis right first time.

What The Service Involves

Audi Spark Plug Replacement Explained

A spark plug looks like a simple part, and on an older naturally aspirated engine it more or less was. On a modern Audi it is a precision component working under extraordinary pressure. Direct-injection TFSI engines fire fuel straight into the combustion chamber at pressures measured in the hundreds of bar, then compress that charge — often with a turbocharger already forcing more air in — before the plug has to produce a reliable arc across a gap of less than a millimetre, up to fifty times per second per cylinder. Any weakness in that chain shows up immediately as a misfire.

Audi spark plug replacement is therefore not a case of unscrewing six plugs and putting six new ones in. It is a controlled procedure that includes removing the engine cover and, on many engines, the acoustic trim and intake pipework; releasing and inspecting the individual pencil coils; blowing out the plug recesses so that no sand or grit falls into the cylinder when the plug comes out; extracting the old plugs with a properly seated plug socket so the ceramic insulator is not cracked; reading every one of them for what it says about that cylinder; then fitting the correct new plugs at the exact gap and the exact torque figure the engine calls for.

Why Dubai Is Harder On Audi Ignition Systems

Dubai gives an ignition system a workload that European service intervals were never really written for. Ambient temperatures above 45°C in July and August mean the underbonnet environment sits far hotter than in a temperate climate, and heat is the enemy of coil insulation. Stop-start crawling on Sheikh Zayed Road or Al Khail Road keeps the engine at low load with the air conditioning compressor working flat out, which encourages carbon and fuel deposits to settle on the plug tip instead of burning off. Short school-run and mall trips never let the engine reach the sustained temperature that cleans an ignition system.

Add fine airborne dust that settles into the deep plug wells of a V6 or V8, plus fuel that is excellent but often run down to the last quarter tank in the heat, and you have a set of conditions that ages plugs and coils faster than the book suggests. In our workshop we routinely see Audis in Dubai needing plugs earlier than their owners expect — and we see far more heat-related coil failures than a garage in a cooler country would.

Plugs And Coils Are One System

A worn plug requires a higher voltage to jump its enlarged gap. The coil is what has to supply that voltage, so it works harder, runs hotter, and eventually breaks down internally. That is why a coil so often fails a few thousand kilometres after the plugs should have been changed — the plug wear killed the coil. It also works the other way: a weak coil causes incomplete combustion, which fouls the plug it feeds.

Because of that relationship, every spark plug job we carry out includes a full assessment of the coil packs, the coil connectors and the wiring loom that serves them. We measure, we look at misfire counters per cylinder, and we tell you honestly whether the coils are fine, whether one is marginal, or whether the set has had its day. We never quietly replace parts you do not need, and we never leave a tired coil in place just to make the invoice look smaller.

What A Used Plug Tells Us

The old plugs are evidence, and we read them before they go in the bin. A light tan or greyish tip on all cylinders means the engine is running as it should. Black, sooty deposits point to an over-rich mixture, a lazy oxygen sensor or heavy short-trip use. An oily, wet plug suggests valve stem seals or, on higher-mileage 2.0 TFSI units, a piston ring and oil consumption issue. A glazed, shiny insulator hints at overheating or the wrong heat range having been fitted previously. Blistered electrodes or melted ground straps are a serious warning about pre-ignition and detonation.

We photograph anything unusual and show it to you. That five-minute inspection has saved plenty of our customers from a far larger bill later, because it flags a developing problem while it is still cheap to fix.

Warning Signs

Signs Your Audi Needs New Spark Plugs

Spark plug wear is gradual, so most owners adapt to it without noticing. The car simply feels a little less sharp than it did last year. Then one hot afternoon a coil finally gives up, the engine light starts flashing and the car limps home on three cylinders. These are the symptoms we hear described most often at our Dubai workshop — if any of them sound familiar, message us on WhatsApp and we will tell you what is most likely going on.

Shaking Or Lumpy Idle

You feel a vibration through the steering wheel and seat at traffic lights, and the rev needle flickers. A misfiring cylinder is not contributing, so the engine is out of balance. On a four-cylinder A3 or A4 it is very obvious; on a V6 Q7 it can feel more like a low hum.

Engine Light Or Flashing Light

A steady engine light with a stored misfire code needs attention soon. A flashing light means a live misfire is dumping raw fuel into the exhaust and can destroy the catalytic converter within minutes. Stop driving and call us.

Hesitation Under Boost

You put your foot down to join Emirates Road and the car stumbles, jerks or feels like it hits a wall before it pulls. Cylinder pressure is highest under boost, which is exactly when a worn plug struggles to fire.

Hard Or Slow Starting

The engine turns over for longer than it used to, especially first thing in the morning or after the car has sat in a hot car park all day. Worn plugs need more voltage exactly when the battery has the least to give.

Fuel Consumption Creeping Up

Incomplete combustion wastes fuel. If your A6 or Q5 used to do a comfortable week on a tank of 95 and now needs filling every five days on the same commute, the ignition system is a prime suspect.

EPC Light On The Dash

The EPC warning often appears alongside misfires on Audi models because the throttle and engine management systems are closely linked. It frequently accompanies a coil or plug fault rather than an electronic throttle problem.

Reduced Power / Limp Mode

The ECU cuts fuel to a persistently misfiring cylinder to protect the catalyst, capping revs and boost. The car feels heavy, slow and reluctant — a classic outcome of ignoring an early misfire for too long.

Fuel Smell From The Exhaust

Unburnt petrol has to go somewhere. A strong fuel smell at the rear of the car, particularly at idle in an underground car park, is a sign that at least one cylinder is not igniting its charge properly.

Rough Running With The AC On

Switching the air conditioning on adds load at idle. In Dubai that load is constant, so a marginal ignition system that feels acceptable on a cool morning will shake and stumble the moment the compressor engages.

Mileage And Time, Not Just Symptoms

You should not wait for symptoms at all. Most modern Audi petrol engines are specified for new plugs somewhere between 40,000 and 60,000 kilometres, and the high-output S and RS engines are usually on a shorter interval than that. In Dubai conditions we generally advise checking the plugs at around 40,000 km and planning replacement at or before the 60,000 km mark on standard models, earlier on anything supercharged, heavily driven or remapped.

Time matters as well as distance. Plugs left in place for six or seven years can seize into an aluminium cylinder head, especially in a hot, humid coastal climate like ours. A plug that comes out easily at year four can become a very expensive extraction job at year eight. If you drive few kilometres but have owned the car a long time, that is still a strong reason to have the plugs changed.

Our Workshop Process

How We Carry Out Spark Plug Replacement

Every car that comes to us for ignition work follows the same disciplined sequence. It is deliberately thorough, because the difference between a job that lasts and a job that comes back is almost always in the preparation and the final checks rather than the plugs themselves.

01

Full Diagnostic Scan First

We never sell parts on a guess. The car goes on our Audi-specific diagnostic equipment and we read fault codes across all modules, then look at live data — misfire counters for each individual cylinder, fuel trims, ignition timing retard, knock sensor activity and coil dwell. A P0303 on its own tells us cylinder three is misfiring; the surrounding data tells us whether the cause is the plug, the coil, an injector, a vacuum leak or a compression problem.

02

Confirming The Correct Part Specification

We identify your exact engine code from the VIN rather than working from the model badge, because the same Audi model sold in the UAE can have several different engine variants across model years, each with its own plug specification, heat range and electrode design. A 2.0 TFSI from one generation does not take the same plug as the next, and fitting a plug one heat range wrong can cause detonation or persistent fouling.

03

Careful Access And Cleaning

Engine covers, acoustic insulation, intake ducting and — where the design demands it — the intake manifold or supercharger assembly are removed and set aside safely. Every plug well is blown out with compressed air and cleaned before anything is unscrewed, so no sand, dust or debris can drop into an open cylinder. In Dubai this step matters more than most people realise; the wells on a car that has spent years parked outdoors are rarely clean.

04

Coil Removal And Inspection

Each pencil coil is released and withdrawn without pulling on the wiring. We inspect the coil boot for cracking, carbon tracking and hardening, check the spring contact, and examine the connector and loom for the brittleness that Dubai heat causes over time. Anything marginal is reported to you with a photograph before we go any further.

05

Extraction And Reading Of Old Plugs

Old plugs are loosened with the correct magnetic or rubber-insert plug socket and an accurate extension so there is no side load on the ceramic. On a seized plug we use penetrating treatment and patience rather than force — a snapped plug in an aluminium head is a job nobody wants. Each plug is then laid out in cylinder order and read for deposits, wear and heat signature.

06

Fitting New Plugs To Specification

New plugs are gap-checked against the specification for your engine — modern iridium and platinum plugs are pre-gapped but we verify rather than assume — and fitted with anti-seize used only where the manufacturer permits it. Every plug is tightened with a calibrated torque wrench to the precise figure for that cylinder head. Overtightening damages threads; undertightening causes heat transfer problems and blow-by. There is no feel-based guesswork in our workshop.

07

Reassembly, Reset And Road Test

Coils are refitted with clean, properly seated connectors, trim and covers go back with all fasteners present, and fault memory is cleared. We then run the engine, watch live misfire data settle to zero, and road test the car under real load — including a proper acceleration run so we see the ignition system working at the boost pressures where weaknesses reveal themselves. A final scan confirms nothing has returned.

Models We Cover

Every Petrol Audi We Work On

We are an Audi-only garage, so there is no petrol Audi ignition system in Dubai that is unfamiliar to us. Below is the range we handle, along with the specific points our technicians know to watch on each family of engines.

A1, A3 & S3

1.4 and 1.5 TFSI three and four-cylinder units, the 2.0 TFSI in the S3, and cylinder-on-demand variants. Compact engine bays mean coil connectors sit close to heat sources; we check loom condition carefully on every one.

A4, A5, S4 & S5

2.0 TFSI four-cylinder and 3.0 TFSI V6 engines across B8, B9 and successor platforms. On the supercharged V6 the plugs sit beneath the blower assembly, which is a specialist job most general garages price themselves out of.

A6, A7, S6 & S7

2.0 TFSI, 3.0 TFSI V6 and 4.0 TFSI V8 engines. Deep plug wells collect dust in Dubai conditions; thorough cleaning before extraction is essential on these cars and is standard practice for us.

A8 & S8

V6, V8 and W12 flagship engines with extensive covers and intake work to remove. Time-consuming rather than difficult, and exactly the sort of job where dealer labour rates hurt the most.

RS 3 & TT RS

The 2.5 TFSI five-cylinder. High specific output, high cylinder pressure and a real appetite for correct plugs at the correct gap. Many of these cars are also remapped, which shortens the sensible service interval considerably.

RS 4, RS 5, RS 6 & RS 7

Twin-turbo V6 and V8 performance engines where ignition health directly limits what the car can safely deliver. We are careful to match plug heat range to how the car is actually used and tuned.

TT & TTS

1.8 and 2.0 TFSI engines in a tightly packaged bay. Straightforward work when approached properly, and a car that responds noticeably to fresh plugs because owners tend to notice throttle sharpness.

R8

The 4.2 FSI and 5.2 FSI V8 and V10. Mid-mounted, access-intensive and unforgiving of shortcuts. We handle these with the extra time and care they require rather than rushing them through.

Q2, Q3 & RS Q3

Compact SUVs on 1.4, 1.5 and 2.0 TFSI power plus the five-cylinder RS Q3. Heavy urban use in Dubai traffic makes these frequent candidates for early plug fouling and carbon build-up.

Q5 & SQ5

2.0 TFSI and 3.0 TFSI V6. The supercharged SQ5 again requires the blower to be lifted, so knowing the sequence and the torque figures saves hours of workshop time.

Q7 & SQ7

Large V6 petrol units carrying a heavy body in 45°C heat with the air conditioning under constant strain. Ignition components work hard in these cars and benefit from proactive replacement.

Q8, SQ8 & RS Q8

The newest generation of large Audi SUVs with high-output turbocharged V6 and V8 engines. We keep specification data current so the plugs fitted are exactly what the engine code calls for.

If your Audi is not listed, it is almost certainly still something we work on — send us the model year and engine on WhatsApp and we will confirm in a few minutes. Please note that this page covers petrol engines; our e-tron and electric models are served by a different set of systems entirely and have no spark plugs to replace.

Parts Options

Genuine, OEM Or Aftermarket — Your Choice

We can arrange every part your Audi needs for the job, and we are transparent about the options so you decide what suits your car, your plans for it and your budget. Nobody is pushed towards the most expensive box on the shelf.

Genuine Audi Parts

Supplied in Audi packaging with the exact specification the factory intended. The natural choice for newer cars still under a service plan, for leased vehicles, and for owners who want the service history to be beyond question at resale time.

OEM Manufacturer Parts

Made by the same companies that produce Audi's original ignition components — the established plug and coil manufacturers — but sold in their own boxes. Functionally identical in the ways that matter, usually at a meaningfully lower cost.

Quality Aftermarket

Well-engineered alternatives from reputable brands. Sensible value on higher-mileage cars, provided the plug matches the correct heat range and electrode design. We will not fit cheap, unbranded plugs into an Audi engine — they fail early and can cause real damage.

A Word On Used Parts

For some repairs we can source good-condition used components, and for certain items that is a sensible, economical route. Spark plugs are the exception: they are a consumable and should always be new. Where used parts can make sense on an ignition job is in related hardware — a coil bracket, a cover, a piece of trim, a connector housing — and we are happy to look for those if it saves you money. We will always tell you plainly when a used part is a false economy.

Why Plug Choice Actually Matters

Heat range determines how quickly a plug sheds combustion heat into the cylinder head. Too cold and the tip never gets hot enough to burn off deposits, so it fouls and misfires. Too hot and it becomes an ignition source in its own right, triggering pre-ignition and detonation that can hole a piston on a boosted engine. Electrode material matters too — iridium and platinum fine-wire designs hold their gap far longer than copper, which is why Audi specifies them and why we do not substitute downwards to save a few dirhams. Getting this right is the whole reason to use an Audi specialist rather than a general workshop.

Why Specialist Care Matters

Why Choose Us Over The Dealership

We are not an authorised Audi dealer. We are an independent specialist that works exclusively on Audi vehicles, staffed by mechanics and bodywork technicians who have spent their careers on this one brand. For most owners past the warranty period, that combination delivers the same standard of work at a substantially lower price.

Audi Only, All Day

Our technicians do not switch between a Japanese saloon, a German SUV and an American pickup. They work on Audi engines every day, so the quirks of each TFSI variant — which cover clips break, which coil connectors need a special release, which torque figure changes mid-generation — are second nature rather than something to look up.

Dealer-Level Quality, Fairer Pricing

Same diagnostic depth, same quality of parts, same torque discipline, same road test. What you are not paying for is a marble showroom, a coffee lounge and a service adviser between you and the technician. That is where savings of up to 70% against dealer invoices come from.

You Speak To The People Doing The Work

Call or message and you reach someone who can actually tell you what the misfire counters showed on your car. We send photographs of the old plugs and explain what they mean in plain language, so you are never asked to approve work you do not understand.

No Upselling, No Padding

If four of your six coils are healthy, we say so and we fit two. If your plugs still have life in them and the real fault is a leaking vacuum hose, we fix the hose. Our business runs on owners who come back and recommend us, which only happens if we are straight with people.

Free Pickup And Drop-Off

Anywhere in Dubai, at no charge. You do not lose half a working day in traffic to Al Quoz and back. For most of our customers this is the single biggest practical difference between using us and using a dealer service centre.

Work We Stand Behind

Parts and labour are guaranteed. If a misfire returns after we have worked on your ignition system, bring the car back — we will collect it — and we will put it right. That guarantee is easy for us to offer because the diagnostic step at the start means we rarely get it wrong.

One point of honesty: we handle direct, customer-paid work only and do not deal with insurance companies. It keeps our process simple and our pricing low, and it means no waiting on approvals before your car gets fixed.

Pricing Factors

What Affects Your Cost

We do not publish a single fixed figure for Audi spark plug replacement cost Dubai wide, because an honest price depends on your engine. Replacing four plugs on an A3 is a fundamentally different job to replacing six on a supercharged SQ5 where the blower has to come off, or eight on an S8. What we will always do is inspect the car, then give you a firm quotation before any work begins — no surprises on the invoice.

Cost FactorWhy It Changes The Price
Number of cylindersA four-cylinder A4 needs four plugs; a V8 RS 6 needs eight, plus eight coils to handle. Parts and labour both scale with cylinder count.
Engine accessSome engines give you the plugs after removing one cover. Supercharged 3.0 TFSI V6 units require the supercharger assembly to be lifted, and mid-engined R8 access is more involved again. Labour hours follow access difficulty.
Plug specificationFine-wire iridium plugs for a high-output RS engine cost more per unit than the platinum plugs fitted to a standard 2.0 TFSI.
Parts route chosenGenuine Audi-boxed, OEM-branded or quality aftermarket. You choose after we explain the difference for your specific car.
Coil conditionIf the coils test healthy, they go back in. If one or more have broken down, replacing them at the same time saves a second labour charge later.
Seized or damaged plugsPlugs left in an aluminium head for many years can seize. Careful extraction takes extra time, and in rare cases thread repair is needed.
Related faults foundCarbon build-up on intake valves, a failing injector, a split intake hose or a tired ignition loom may be contributing to the misfire. We quote these separately so you decide.
Remapped or tuned enginesTuned cars often need a colder plug and a tighter gap. Specification and part cost change accordingly.

How We Keep It Affordable

Our overheads are a fraction of a dealership's, we buy parts intelligently from several trusted supply channels, and our technicians are quick because they are specialists. Combine those three and you get the savings of up to 70% against authorised dealer invoices that our customers regularly report — on the same quality of work. Affordable Audi spark plug replacement in Dubai does not have to mean cutting corners; it means removing cost that was never adding value to your car.

Getting An Accurate Quote

Send us your model, year and approximate mileage on WhatsApp, along with a description of what the car is doing and a photograph of the dashboard if a warning light is showing. In most cases we can give you a realistic range straight away, arrange free collection, and confirm the final figure once the car is with us and the diagnostic scan is complete.

Free Collection Service

Free Pickup And Drop-Off Across Dubai

Searching for Audi spark plug replacement near me usually ends with the same problem: the good specialists are in an industrial area, and getting there and back costs you a morning. We removed that obstacle entirely. Tell us where the car is and we will come to it, anywhere in Dubai, at no cost to you.

Message Or Call

Contact us on +971 52 791 4606 by phone or WhatsApp. Describe the symptoms, give us the model and year, and tell us where the car is parked — home, office tower, villa compound or basement car park.

We Collect

We agree a time that suits you and our driver comes to you. If the car is misfiring badly or the engine light is flashing, tell us — we will not ask you to drive it and risk catalytic converter damage.

Diagnose And Quote

The car goes on the diagnostic equipment at our workshop. You get a call or a WhatsApp message with what we found, what it needs and what it will cost, before anything is touched.

We Deliver Back

Once the work is finished, road tested and scanned clean, we bring your Audi back to you. You settle the invoice and get on with your day — no traffic, no waiting room, no second trip.

The service is genuinely free and genuinely city-wide. Whether you are in a villa in Arabian Ranches, an apartment in Dubai Marina or an office in DIFC, the collection costs you nothing and is not quietly built back into the quote. It exists because it makes our workshop efficient and our customers' lives easier, and it is one of the main reasons owners choose us over a dealer service centre.

Local Knowledge That Helps

Working across Dubai every day teaches you patterns. Cars that live in Marina and JLT tower car parks tend to do short, low-speed journeys that foul plugs early. Cars from Ranches, Dubai Hills and the Springs rack up long, hot highway kilometres on the E311 and E611 with the air conditioning permanently on, which is hard on coils. Cars parked outdoors in Mirdif, Al Warqa or Al Qusais collect noticeably more dust in the plug wells. We factor all of that into what we look for when your Audi arrives.

Questions Answered

Audi Spark Plug Replacement FAQs

The questions Dubai Audi owners ask us most often. If yours is not here, message us on WhatsApp — we answer honestly, even when the answer is that you do not need the work yet.

How much does Audi spark plug replacement cost in Dubai?

There is no single figure, because the price depends on how many cylinders your engine has, how difficult the plugs are to reach, which plug specification it takes and whether the coils need attention. A four-cylinder A3 is at the affordable end; a supercharged SQ5 where the blower must be removed, or a V8 S8, sits considerably higher. We inspect the car, then give you a firm quotation before any work starts, and it is typically far below the equivalent dealer invoice.

How long does the job take?

Most four-cylinder Audi models are completed within a few hours, including the diagnostic scan and road test. V6 and V8 engines take longer, and engines where the supercharger or intake manifold has to be removed can take the best part of a working day. We confirm a realistic timeframe when we quote, and if a car needs to stay overnight we tell you in advance rather than at six o'clock.

Do you offer a warranty on the work?

Yes. Both the parts we supply and our labour are guaranteed. If a misfire or a related fault returns after we have worked on your ignition system, contact us and we will collect the car free of charge and put it right. The pre-work diagnostic step is what makes that guarantee straightforward for us to stand behind.

Should I choose genuine or aftermarket spark plugs?

Both are legitimate choices and we can arrange either. Genuine Audi-boxed plugs suit newer cars, leased vehicles and owners who want an unquestionable service history. OEM plugs from the same manufacturers that supply Audi are functionally equivalent at a lower cost. Quality aftermarket plugs are sensible value on higher-mileage cars, provided the heat range and electrode design are correct. What we will not do is fit cheap unbranded plugs into an Audi engine.

Do you collect and deliver my car?

Yes, free of charge, anywhere in Dubai. We come to your home, office or car park at a time that suits you, and we bring the car back once the work is finished and road tested. There is no hidden charge for this and it is not added into the quotation. If the car is misfiring badly, let us know and we will collect it rather than have you drive it.

Which Audi models do you cover?

Every petrol Audi. That includes the A1, A3, A4, A5, A6, A7 and A8; the full S range from S3 to S8; the RS range including RS 3, RS 4, RS 5, RS 6, RS 7, TT RS and RS Q3 and RS Q8; the TT and TTS; the R8; and the Q range covering Q2, Q3, Q5, Q7, Q8, SQ5, SQ7 and SQ8. Electric e-tron models have no spark plugs, so this particular service does not apply to them.

Do you carry out diagnostics before replacing anything?

Always. Every car is scanned on Audi-specific equipment before a single part is ordered. We read fault codes across all modules and study live data including per-cylinder misfire counters, fuel trims, ignition retard and knock activity. That is how we distinguish a worn plug from a failed coil, a leaking injector, an air leak or a compression problem — and how we avoid selling you parts you do not need.

How do I book the service?

Call or WhatsApp +971 52 791 4606. Tell us your model, year, approximate mileage and what the car is doing. We will give you an initial idea of cost, agree a collection time and take it from there. Most bookings are arranged in a single short conversation, and we can often collect the same day or the next.

What payment options do you accept?

We handle direct, customer-paid work and accept the usual payment methods including card and bank transfer. Payment is settled once the work is complete and you have your car back. We do not work with insurance companies, which keeps the process quick and the pricing low — there are no approvals to wait for before your Audi gets fixed.

Can you replace spark plugs at my home or office?

We strongly prefer to carry out ignition work at our workshop, and there is a good reason. The job needs clean, controlled conditions, compressed air to clear the plug wells, a calibrated torque wrench and diagnostic equipment for the before-and-after checks. Doing it in a dusty outdoor car park in 45°C heat risks debris entering an open cylinder. Our free collection service means the workshop comes to you in every way that matters.

What are the signs that I need this service?

A shaky or lumpy idle, hesitation or jerking when you accelerate, longer cranking before the engine starts, rising fuel consumption, a steady engine light or EPC warning, a smell of unburnt fuel, or the car dropping into reduced-power mode. A flashing engine light is the urgent one — stop driving and call us, because a live misfire can destroy a catalytic converter quickly.

How often do Audi spark plugs need changing?

Most modern Audi petrol engines are specified somewhere between 40,000 and 60,000 kilometres, with high-output S and RS engines usually on a shorter interval. In Dubai's heat, dust and stop-start traffic we suggest inspecting at around 40,000 km and planning replacement by 60,000 km on standard models, sooner on supercharged, heavily driven or remapped cars. Age matters too: plugs older than five or six years can seize into the cylinder head even on a low-mileage car.

Do I need new ignition coils at the same time?

Not automatically. We test and inspect the coils on every job and only recommend replacement where there is evidence — a breakdown under load, carbon tracking, a cracked or hardened boot, or a cylinder with a persistent misfire history. That said, if a coil is clearly marginal it is usually more economical to replace it while the engine is already apart than to pay for the same access work twice.

Can new spark plugs improve my fuel economy and performance?

If the old plugs were worn, yes — often noticeably. Complete combustion means less wasted fuel, smoother idle, sharper throttle response and the return of full boost on turbocharged models. What new plugs will not do is add power to an engine whose plugs were already healthy, and we will tell you that rather than take your money for a job the car does not need yet.

My engine light is flashing right now — what should I do?

Pull over safely and stop driving the car. A flashing light indicates an active misfire sending raw fuel into the exhaust, where it can overheat and ruin the catalytic converter within a very short distance. Call us on +971 52 791 4606 and we will arrange free collection. A set of plugs and a coil is a modest bill; a catalytic converter and lambda sensors on a V6 or V8 Audi is not.
